Transit Life in a Siberian Hellhole

November 5, 2010

Sure, it’s gotten cold in Atlanta, but it’s nothing compared to northern Russia. I’m pretty sure Siberia is one place where the saying “not until hell freezes over” is moot.

Judging by the amount of cigarette butts littering this mound of dirty frozen slush, it’s a bus stop!

Yay! There’s the bus!

But wait, what the fuck?

Maybe the train would be better?

To the… thing!

Disclaimer: The images for this slice of life were pulled from this Dark Roasted Blend article and repurposed to fit my narrative needs. These images are collected from a few different towns in northern Russia. Those tracks have been jacked by permafrost.Visit the original article for photographer credits and more pictures of Siberia, along with a different story which is disputed in the comments.
