Googlicious

September 20, 2010

The awesome Google searches just don’t stop, and this is pretty much my favorite part of the day, checking to see what crazy stuff brought you here. So, more answers to your questions!

? MARTA bus routes in Charleston, SC? Charleston’s transit is called CARTA, Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority, I think you’re a letter off there. Their routes can be found by visiting CARTA at www.ridecarta.com.

? Is MARTA route 59 ok to ride to lunch? Why sure! I mean, I don’t know what’s on that route, what sort of lunch you were looking for, but I don’t know why it wouldn’t be okay. Just don’t eat your lunch on the bus.

? black fetus with cross found on CCT. I have no idea what’s going on with this one. The best I can figure is some crazy urban myth or rumor, cause that one would have been all over the news.

? How to get to Cobb Parkway on MARTA?  Take the train to Arts Center Station and then hop on the CCT 10 up to Cobb Parkway.

? Is MARTA yellow line used for sex trafficking? Alternative transportation like MARTA is actually used to reduce traffic, so no. I think that would be extremely hard to gauge, but I can’t imagine that’s the case. Trust me, if it were, AJC would let us know all about it. And remember folks, it’s called the Gold line now, folks.

? What routes has MARTA cut/ route changes? You gotta visit the MARTA web site, folks. It’s your one stop shop for the September service changes, which happens this weekend!

? MARTA Breeze iPhone app. The only iPhone app out there for MARTA currently is the One app. How this works is to get yourself an iPhone and an iPhone case. Next, take your Breeze card and place it inside your iPhone case, between the case and phone so that it’s concealed. Now walk up to your local MARTA fare gate and “tap” your phone and tell your friends all about the super secret MARTA iPhone app. You are now incredibly cool.

? Does MARTA have seats like Berlin train? We wish. We would also approve of some Berlin trannies, too.

? MARTA stolen sandwich. What? MARTA did not steal your sandwich and how dare you accuse her of that!

? MARTA lost lone heart. If your heart is broken and you are lonely, I would recommend MARTA. Just be mindful of our transit dating tips!

? MARTA on Facebook. You can find MARTA on Facebook here.

Thanks for the reminder to look at the MARTA site for upcoming route changes. I’ve been in denial and have avoided thinking about this. The bus routes I use are not affected so I’m luckier than the many people who will have their lives disrupted.

The thing I’m most bummed about right now is the reduced frequency of trains on the weekend. My family is cutting down to one car and planning to rely on MARTA for every trip but my crap-tastic work commute (office parks suck, y’all) in the next couple of weeks with our move Downtown. I hope our weekends don’t suffer too much with the reduction in service.

I think y’all will rock it, and I’m so glad to hear that you’re going car light. I can’t wait to read all about it!
