First Subways, Now Trailways
Darius McCullom was arrested for commandeering a Trailways bus yesterday. His first transit-related arrest was in 1981 when he took the E train (like, took it and drove it, not just sat down in it) to the World Trade Center. In the nearly 30 years since, he’s racked up 27 arrests for this sort of thing.
McCullom stole the Trailways bus from a garage in Hoboken, and it was later GPS-recovered in Queens, with no passengers. He wasn’t on a recognized route, which is kind of rude, considering that he’s previously been pretty good about that.
His mother is no longer surprised, but a Trailways rep seems like she might have been confused, telling the New York Times “I’m reading a little bit more about him. He seems to favor trains over buses.”
