Japan’s Fruity Bus Stops

August 16, 2010

If I’m translating correctly, a variety of fruit shaped bus stops were first commissioned in 1990 for the Nagasaki expo, along highway 270 in Konagai, which is part of Ishaya City. The fruits are considered to be a Grimms Fairytale motif, each typing into transit by representing variations of Cinderella’s carriage.
